Four Berry Porridge

Another super easy breakfast that works well for adults and babies/ toddlers. Ottie is a month and a half into weaning now and this is her favourite breakfast by far!

Again it's a super easy one to make and can either feed the whole family for breakfast or could do 3/4 mornings for baby or two mornings for Mummy!

Ingredients:

1 cup of porridge oats
2 cups of oat milk (or any other milk/ milk alternative)
1 tsp ground cinnamon or nutmeg
2 strawberries sliced into quarters*
1/4 cup rasberries*
1/4 cup blueberries*
1/4 cup blackberries*

*depending on what you have in the fridge/ freezer you can switch out these berries and bulk up others e.g. scrap the blackberries for 1/2 a cup of blueberries instead.

Cooking time is 20-30 mins beginning to end.

Mix all of the ingredients together in the pan then place over a medium/ high heat until it starts bubbling.

Once it starts to bubble move to a medium/low heat and keep stirring to help the fruit to break down.

We like our porridge pretty thick, especially as I then add cold oat milk post cooking to cool it down for Ottie to eat ASAP (you can't keep a hungry baby waiting!) so I usually cook for a further 15 minutes but if you are a fan of runnier porridge you could probably get away with 5-10 mins further cooking.

Serve up for baby as it comes with a little cold milk mixed in to cool down.

Serve up for the adults with flaked almonds and fresh fruit, desiccated coconut works well too!
